Benjamin O. Davis, Jr., b. 1912

Benjamin Oliver Davis, Jr. graduated from the United States Military Academy at West Point, New York, in 1936 as a Second Lieutenant in the infantry. After serving in the infantry for several years he was posted to the newly established Tuskegee Army Air Field, in Alabama for pilot training in 1942.
