The Archives Center
The Archives Center -- National Museum of American History The ACAH holdings include more than eight hundred collections of business records, personal papers, and visual, magnetic and electronic documents related to the mission of the National Museum of American History, especially the history of American music, advertising and marketing, and technology and invention. Also included are descriptions of selected individual items.
Most collections are available for use by appointment in the Archives Center reference room. A few collections are in remote storage and specific arrangements are required to view them. Unprocessed collections, not yet available for use, are identified in this catalog. Some materials cannot be seen in their original form, but microfilm or videodisc versions are available.
Archives Center reference room hours are 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday, and noon to 5 p.m. on Wednesday. Contact:
