Instructions for upgrading to Horizon 7.3.3 via .exe files |
We would like to know who is using this method. Please DO NOT use these upgrade .exe files before February 3, 2005 DOING SO WILL INACTIVATE THE HORIZON CLIENT YOU ARE NOW USING! The upgrade to Horizon 7.3.3 is usually and easily accomplished by connecting to your usual production data base with the 7.3.1a client (the currently installed client). You will receive notification that you need an upgrade to the client, and the upgrade software will be downloaded from the SIRIS data base server. You need only allow this to happen, selecting default values when requested, then log out of Horizon and log back in. In some cases, it may be that the software download from the data base takes too long. In such cases, we have provided a pair of .exe files that will accomplish the same upgrade, but locally, without having to log onto the data base. This method requires that you either install Horizon 7.3.3 completely, or that you first upgrade your Horizon 7.3.1 installation to 7.3.2, then complete the process by running the job that upgrades the 7.3.2 client to 7.3.3. and run the job. When you see this screen appear, select the "update existing client to 7.3.2" radio button. Accept all defaults and allow the process to proceed. Now download the Horizon 7.3.3 exec file and run the job. You will see this screen appear. Select the "update existing client to 7.3.3" radio button.
