The microfilm of the Calvin Albert papers contains documentation concerning Albert's study of developments in sculpture and sculpture training, including writings by Albert and articles by others regarding new materials and techniques, Albert's own experiments with casting, work being done in art schools, and areas of possible development in sculpture. Also included are photographs of studies and sculptures by Albert and a scrapbook containing printed material on Albert.

Calvin Albert (1918-2007) was a sculptor, painter, and educator. From 1949 to 1985 he taught at and led the graduate sculpture program at Pratt Institute in Brooklyn, New York.
