The scattered papers of painter Madeline O'Connor measure 0.2 linear feet and date from 1972 to 1984. Found are biographical information, printed material, and fifty photographs of O'Connor's work.
The collection is available on 35mm microfilm reel 3431 at Archives of American Art offices and through interlibrary loan. Researchers should note that the arrangement of the material described in the container inventory does not reflect the arrangement of the collection on microfilm.
Madeline O'Connor (1931-2002) was a painter in Victoria, Texas. She was known for her minimalist and realistic styles with works consisting of multiple pieces.
Donated 1984 by Madeline O'Connor as part of the Archives of American Art's Texas project.
Due to the small size of this collection the papers are arranged as one series.

The papers were microfilmed on reel 3431 after receipt and the collection was processed, and a finding aid prepared by Jayna Josefson in 2022 with support from the Smithsonian American Women's History Initiative.
Biographical materials include a resume, scattered clippings, and exhibition announcements and catalogs concerning O'Connor. Also found are fifty photographs of exhibitions, installations, and works of art, most of which include annotations.
