Donated by the Guild of Boston Artists, 1982, and in 1996 by joint donors Frederic Tilton and Drusilla Movizzo. Tilton received the papers from his cousin, Eleanor M. Tilton, the daughter of Margueritte Verne Tilton who was the sister of Ripley's widow, Doris Verne Ripley.
