Curtiss Field Photographs [Nelson]
Curtiss Field was located in Garden City, Long Island on the site of what was originally part of Hazelhurst Field. Alfred H. Nelson was a licensed Aircraft & Engine mechanic at Curtiss Field in the 1920s.
This collection consists of six black and white and sepia-toned photographs taken at Curtiss Field in the late 1920s. Two of the photographs are 4 by 5 inches in size and the remainder are 8 by 10 inches. Aircraft shown in the photographs include the Sikorsky S-36B and the Sikorsky S-38B Amphibian, including the Sikorsky S-36B
