This collection of technical papers, notes and publications reflects the career of De Juhasz as a mechanical engineer, inventor and professor of engineering. It particularly reflects his interest in the development of diesel engines, engineering instruments and specifically his invention of the engine indicator for measuring pressures in the cylinders.

Biographical/Historical note
Kalman J. DeJuhasz (born in Hungary, 1893) was professor of engineering at Pennsylvania State University (1928-1953). This material was collected through most of his professional career as engineer, inventor, and professor. He died in 1973 at State College, Pennsylvania.

Collection transferred to the Archives Center from the Division of Engineering and Industry (now Division of Work and Industry), April 28, 1988.
