This accession consists of three phonograph records documenting the WMAL radio broadcast "Wonders of the National Museum," which aired on 16 August 1932. The broadcast features WMAL broadcaster Ted Church and was the second of three segments for the Columbia Broadcasting System program "Odd Spots of Washington, D.C." Church takes listeners on a short tour of the science and technology collections at the United States National Museum where he interviews Carl Weaver Mitman, Curator of Engineering, Frank A. Taylor, Assistant Curator, and Paul Edward Garber, Assistant Curator of Aeronautics. Also includes copies of the phonographic recordings on three cassette audiotapes made by Elliot N. Sivowitch, Museum Specialist in the Division of Electricity and Modern Physics, at the Library of Congress in 1983.
