Herzfeld Collection and Series >> Subject Terms The Subject Terms
gallery divides images into subject categories that range from Archaeology,
Description and Travel, Find Objects, to Stuccos. Subjects are determined
by the information the images contain and are meant to be helpful in indicating
what the image denotes, or what the text may include. Preservation, digitization,
and cataloging has been made possible by the Leon
Levy Foundation. The cataloging of this collection commenced in September
2009, and will be ongoing until Summer 2011. Please be advised that some
of the Series and categories are not hot linked to images yet as we are
in the process of making them available. Permission to reproduce and publish an item from the Archives is coordinated through the Freer Gallery of Art and Arthur M. Sackler Gallery's Rights and Reproductions department. For inquiries on selecting images or appointments to research the collection, please contact the Archives. |
